Christmas 2008

Aunt Erin, Uncle Jason and the two monkeys on Christmas Eve
Us at mom's on Christmas Eve. I and Carter went to church while Max and daddy stayed at my mom's. Max had an injury happen before we left for church. He was pushed by someone (C) into the couch and cut his upper gum open. So we brought clothes with us just to take our annual family pics. Max was fine. We decided not to take him to the ER and we are glad we didn't. He has healed great!

Look at our two innocent little boys. Aren't their vests cute??

Getting cookies and milk ready for Santa. Do you notice the red mark under Max's left eye? He had run into a sign the week before and that is the mark the bandaid left on his face. Can you say our child is clumsy??

Good morning! Can we open our stockings now??- CHRISTMAS # 1

The V- Motion that santa brought

Our Lightening McQueen sweatshirts- they light up! A huge hit!!

Carter and the Batman costume. We got the boys a couple of costumes after Halloween- they love to play dress-up

Max as IronMan-another costume they got

Mommy and her boys at Erin and Jason's-CHRISTMAS #2

Uncle Jason and the light he received to work out in the garage or outside. He's so funny!

Checking out their new Car's book they got from Aunt Carol. Do they look like they haven't had a nap in 3 days??

Max climbed in the bag!

Carter and Reagan at Grandma's- CHRISTMAS #3

Max and Reagan- why is she crying?? This was probably the first time Max actually paid attention to Reagan. He was excited to hold her and touch her

Allison with her Baby Alive doll. She got this from us- and boy is it gross. I feel bad that it lives at Aunt Dana's house. She now has to change Reagan's diapers and this doll! This thing really goes to the bathroom- it's gross! (PS- Allison loves it!)

Grandpa Joe (Dan's dad) and the boys-CHRISTMAS #4

Grandma Sharon(Dan's step-mom) and Grandpa Joe with their grandkids

Grandpa Joe golfing with the Wii

Grandma Sharon boxing with the Wii

The Cars race track from grandma and grandpa- a toy they played with for hours!

Carter still playing with the track once we were home.
We had a great Christmas with all of our families. I will upload the pics from Christmas #5 tomorrow. I am exhausted from all of the festivities! Enjoy our busy holiday!!

Winter 2008

We have had a busy month. Sorry for the delay in updating our blog. We are so thankful for everything the boys have given us....
The boys and I decorated cookies and fun- well they really only decorated a couple and left mommy with the rest.
Carter was more interested in eating sprinkles than anything else.

Max just wanted to eat frosting!

We went to the mall with Allison and Reagan to see Santa. This is us after we saw the big guy- running off some energy at the play area.

Max had a complete meltdown right before he sat on Santa's lap. Crying and screaming- he just doesn't like people in costume. Neither one really do, but Carter didn't cry this year. As soon as Max climbed on Santa's lap though, Santa asked him what he wanted for Xmas and then Max stopped crying. It was great! The first year neither one was crying for the pic!

Max is really nervous in this pic. Carter jumped right up. He told Santa he wanted a squinny for Xmas. That's right, a squinny. Not sure where he came up with this. Max asked for a big Diego. We have taken the boys to the same Santa every year. Doesn't he look like a great Santa?

Writing our letter (postcard) to Santa.

Playing in the snow with mommy. Dad is not much of a snow guy, so mommy hung outside and built a couple of snowmen and went sledding. All things pappa did with mommy when she was little. Look at those smiles! We had lots of giggles playing outside!

Mommy trying to get the perfect pic of the boys and I. Look at that great laugh of Carters!

Check out one of our snowmen. The boys say goodbye to them each morning before we go to school.

My favorite pic of the boys. It was snowing outside when I took this pic. Look at how excited they are to play! Max was trying to eat the snow right before this pic!

Carter drew his first pic that was recognizable on the white board. A snowman!

They boys went to grammy's to decorate cookies. They only had the patience for a couple before just wanting to go play downstairs. Grammy bought them these aprons. They actually have matching chef's hats, but didn't want to wear them.

The Martin/Zahn/Marcel family pic at Thanksgiving

The boys made Mickey Mouse ears at school. Some moments they love each other, some moments they are ready to rip each other's heads off! Brotherly love!

Mommy and her boys- just playing around!

Daddy and his boys just playing around!

At the Bucs ice arena- our first hockey game! It was fun, but very loud!

October 2008

I will protect you red spiderman. Carter is black spiderman, Max is red spiderman
Max did awesome with trick or treating this year. Last year I had to carry him the entire time. This year, he went up to the houses and said trick or treat and thank you. He wore this mask most of the time. Carter on the other hand, wouldn't stand still long enough to get a pic of him trick or treating. He has ants in his pants most of the time! But we came home with lots of candy!

Black spiderman and red spiderman protecting their pumpkins. I forgot to upload carving of the pumpkin pics, so that will be on the next blog!

Carter and his lovely boa at Allison's house!

Max in his crown waiting for his princess!

We spent the night at Allison and Reagan's house. Our power was out for 9 hours due to a big wind storm and a tree falling on our power lines. We played dress-up. Our power came back on at 10:30 p.m. so we packed the kids up and went back home so we could all sleep in our own beds. The boys thanked us the next day for bringing them home to their own beds!

The 4 Zahn's at Center Grove Orchard!

Carter on top of the hay maze. Last year, I put him on top of this maze and he screamed at the top of his lungs. This year, he asked to get on top and ran around on top of it laughing the whole time. What a difference a year can make!

Max loved this jumping pillow. We have been coming to this pumpkin patch for 3 years and this is the new hit this year!

The boys love running around and finding the perfect pumpkin!

Uncle Dan and Reagan. Look at her cute pumpkin hat! The big kids are playing in a corn crib. We had corn in every inch of our bodies!

Carter is still loving caterpillars. The one's he had before lasted 2 weeks. He found 7 caterpillars at the pumpkin patch and brought them all home. He was in heaven!

Our pumpkins at the patch!

Max is in a "I don't want to wear jammies" mood lately. My compromise was jammie pants and a t-shirt. This is what he chose. He is like the license plate,"House divided" except he is "a child divided". Poor kid doesn't know who to cheer for. Daddy says the CLONES and Uncle Dave and all of mommy's family say the "Boo Hawkeyes"- that's what he calls them!

Check out that beautiful cake we made for mommy's bday!- They boys frosted and decorated it. They love to help me make anything. Now, if I could only get them to do the dishes!!

Aunt Dana and I attempted to take the kids to the mall to see Dora and Diego. The line was to long to get our pics taken with them, so we walked up to the front and just took their pics with Dora and Diego in the background.(Do you see them over their heads?). It worked out fine because they didn't really want to get very close to them as their costumes were really big!
