Goodbye fishy

So the boys have had a pet fish-fishy for 2 years. A betta fish. Not really sure how this thing had survived this long. About a month ago, the boys pulled the dresser over that fishy was sitting on and fishy fell out of his bowl. We are pretty sure he broke his back at this time, he never swam the same way again. This is daddy showing the boys fishy after he took him out of the bowl.

Look at your dead fish!
We decided to flush fishy. He had been dead for a couple of days before we did this. I was to scared to take him out of the tank- I don't know why. I made Dan do it. Fishy kinda fell apart when we put him in the tank. He had been dead for a couple of days- sorry fishy. We thought the boys should pray before we flushed him. This picture is them saying a prayer for fishy. Max and Carter only know one prayer- sorry . It's our prayer we say when we eat...." for health and food for love and friends, father we thank thee, amen". Appropriate? Probably not, but it's what they know and they fold their hands when they do it. How cute. As soon as we were done, Max couldn't wait to flush him down. They turned around and went back to playing.

Snow fun!

Max playing in the snow with Aunt Tee-Tee at Grammy's house. Tricia actually shoveled snow into a pile so the boys could play.
See all the grass behind Carter? That's where Tricia had shoveled the snow off the grass. Carter is throwing snow balls at Aunt Erin because she had been throwing snowballs at him.

Aunts chillin' with their nephews. They had so much fun playing!

Carter loves to play outside.

Max likes to play outside, but is really interested in eating snow. I have made sure he knows to just eat white snow.

Carter's first dentist trip

Well, it's Carter's turn at Dr. Wade's office. He brought bunny along for support. Bunny seems to go places when we are nervous. Carter is really excited to be at the dentist as he knows there are toys at the end.
Carter with his cool shades on. Movie choice- "Power Rangers"

Toothpaste choice- cherry. He really liked having his teeth cleaned. He said that it tickled.

Let's get the front ones clean too..

Dr. Wade counting Carter's teeth. Everything looks good!

Max's first dentist trip

We are at our first dentist visit. This place is all about kids- TV's everywhere, video games. Max getting ready to have pics taken of his teeth- doesn't he looked so happy?
Check out my cool shades! He is listening to Madagascar with his headphones while watching it on the ceiling!

Getting his teeth cleaned with cookie-dough toothpaste. He thought it tickled at first, but then started crying. He liked the water that rinsed it off though.

So many teeth to clean!

Dr. Wade counting Max's teeth. All are there and look great!

Looking good Max. The doctor also checked out his tongue that was stuck to a metal railing 2 weeks ago. He said it healed really well. Max got 2 gold coins when he was done to pick out fun toys. Back in 6 months Maxxy- good job!
Now for Carter..... his turn is next Monday.

Christmas 2008

Aunt Erin, Uncle Jason and the two monkeys on Christmas Eve
Us at mom's on Christmas Eve. I and Carter went to church while Max and daddy stayed at my mom's. Max had an injury happen before we left for church. He was pushed by someone (C) into the couch and cut his upper gum open. So we brought clothes with us just to take our annual family pics. Max was fine. We decided not to take him to the ER and we are glad we didn't. He has healed great!

Look at our two innocent little boys. Aren't their vests cute??

Getting cookies and milk ready for Santa. Do you notice the red mark under Max's left eye? He had run into a sign the week before and that is the mark the bandaid left on his face. Can you say our child is clumsy??

Good morning! Can we open our stockings now??- CHRISTMAS # 1

The V- Motion that santa brought

Our Lightening McQueen sweatshirts- they light up! A huge hit!!

Carter and the Batman costume. We got the boys a couple of costumes after Halloween- they love to play dress-up

Max as IronMan-another costume they got

Mommy and her boys at Erin and Jason's-CHRISTMAS #2

Uncle Jason and the light he received to work out in the garage or outside. He's so funny!

Checking out their new Car's book they got from Aunt Carol. Do they look like they haven't had a nap in 3 days??

Max climbed in the bag!

Carter and Reagan at Grandma's- CHRISTMAS #3

Max and Reagan- why is she crying?? This was probably the first time Max actually paid attention to Reagan. He was excited to hold her and touch her

Allison with her Baby Alive doll. She got this from us- and boy is it gross. I feel bad that it lives at Aunt Dana's house. She now has to change Reagan's diapers and this doll! This thing really goes to the bathroom- it's gross! (PS- Allison loves it!)

Grandpa Joe (Dan's dad) and the boys-CHRISTMAS #4

Grandma Sharon(Dan's step-mom) and Grandpa Joe with their grandkids

Grandpa Joe golfing with the Wii

Grandma Sharon boxing with the Wii

The Cars race track from grandma and grandpa- a toy they played with for hours!

Carter still playing with the track once we were home.
We had a great Christmas with all of our families. I will upload the pics from Christmas #5 tomorrow. I am exhausted from all of the festivities! Enjoy our busy holiday!!

Winter 2008

We have had a busy month. Sorry for the delay in updating our blog. We are so thankful for everything the boys have given us....
The boys and I decorated cookies and fun- well they really only decorated a couple and left mommy with the rest.
Carter was more interested in eating sprinkles than anything else.

Max just wanted to eat frosting!

We went to the mall with Allison and Reagan to see Santa. This is us after we saw the big guy- running off some energy at the play area.

Max had a complete meltdown right before he sat on Santa's lap. Crying and screaming- he just doesn't like people in costume. Neither one really do, but Carter didn't cry this year. As soon as Max climbed on Santa's lap though, Santa asked him what he wanted for Xmas and then Max stopped crying. It was great! The first year neither one was crying for the pic!

Max is really nervous in this pic. Carter jumped right up. He told Santa he wanted a squinny for Xmas. That's right, a squinny. Not sure where he came up with this. Max asked for a big Diego. We have taken the boys to the same Santa every year. Doesn't he look like a great Santa?

Writing our letter (postcard) to Santa.

Playing in the snow with mommy. Dad is not much of a snow guy, so mommy hung outside and built a couple of snowmen and went sledding. All things pappa did with mommy when she was little. Look at those smiles! We had lots of giggles playing outside!

Mommy trying to get the perfect pic of the boys and I. Look at that great laugh of Carters!

Check out one of our snowmen. The boys say goodbye to them each morning before we go to school.

My favorite pic of the boys. It was snowing outside when I took this pic. Look at how excited they are to play! Max was trying to eat the snow right before this pic!

Carter drew his first pic that was recognizable on the white board. A snowman!

They boys went to grammy's to decorate cookies. They only had the patience for a couple before just wanting to go play downstairs. Grammy bought them these aprons. They actually have matching chef's hats, but didn't want to wear them.

The Martin/Zahn/Marcel family pic at Thanksgiving

The boys made Mickey Mouse ears at school. Some moments they love each other, some moments they are ready to rip each other's heads off! Brotherly love!

Mommy and her boys- just playing around!

Daddy and his boys just playing around!

At the Bucs ice arena- our first hockey game! It was fun, but very loud!
